On my way to Los Angeles, I stopped by this lesser known reservoir in a city named Gustine. Passing by the San Luis Reservoir is a great break to take off to walk around and stretch. There’s also a nice big body of water and wide hills. Read more about the history and the purpose of how the reservoir helps the surrounding cities. This reservoir supplies water to the Santa Clara Valley and around the South Bay.
The center I stopped by and as photographed is located in the Romero Overlook Visitors Center. It has a very nice view and an educational center where you can read about the reservoir and dam. The place plays movies and there are people working there ready to tell you more about it.
The overall area offers many recreational opportunities for fishermen, boaters, and campers. It’s great for walking around and having a picnic. It’s a great place to relax and drive around it’s great magnificent views.
Aside from traveling and taking a visit to this place. Don’t forget to include some places to travel to in the main Bay Area. Whether you are from or heading south of California, this will always be a great interesting place to stop by and check out.
